Laura Wilson McCoy, age 94, of 2302 Lindale Road, died on October 11, 2017, at Rainey Hospice House. Born on October 27, 1922, in Anderson County, Mrs. McCoy was the daughter of the late John Calvin Wilson and the late Amelia Fagg Wilson. Mrs. McCoy was the devoted wife of the late Furman Clyde "Mac" McCoy for sixty-eight years until his death in 2010. She graduated in the Class of 1941 from Belton High School. Mrs. McCoy retired after forty years of service as a Secretary in the Intensive Care Unit at Anderson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Neals Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jo Hulme and her husband, Doug, of Anderson; six grandchildren, Greg McCoy and wife, Wendy, Christi McCoy, Heather Jones and husband, Jason, Dusty Owens and wife, Lucy, Megan Hayes and husband Nick, and Jennifer Browning and husband, John; great-grandchildren, Chloe McCoy, Dannon McCoy, Emmylou Owens, Townes Owens, and Jackson Browning; a sister, Maggie Jordan of Anderson; a brother, George Wilson of Anderson, and a daughter-in-law, Linda McCoy of Anderson. In addition to her parents, and her husband, Mac, Mrs. McCoy was preceded in death by her sons, Michael Clyde McCoy and James Lonnie McCoy; four sisters, Maude Wilson, Ludie Rogers, Cora Lee McCown, and Sara Phillips; and two brothers, Aaron Wilson and Woodrow Wilson The Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017, at Neals Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Dorriety officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Neals Creek Baptist Church on Friday.
