Laura Lee Addison Standridge, age 87, of 204 C Street, wife of the late Jason Abraham Standridge, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at her home. Born in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Harrison Addison and the late Mary Alice Williams Addison. She was employed at the Anderson Mill for many years and was a member of House of Prayer. Survivors include her children, Melvin Standridge and his wife Shirley of Anderson, Darline Oakley and her husband Bobby of Starr, Diane Harrell and her husband Bean of Anderson and Patsy Moore and her husband Jimmy of Anderson; a sister Edna Sweet of Greenville; and 20 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Brown; a son, William Standridge; two granddaughters, Kim Standridge and Elizabeth Standridge; four brothers, N. L. Addison, Hoyt Addison, Dick Addison and William Addison and three sisters, Daisy Williams, Irene Nichols and Mary Ayers, and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Standridge. The Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Reverends Jerry Nation, Mike Harrell and Rodney Harbin will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family is at the home and will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 3, 2012, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
