Mrs. Lavilda Manning Hall "Grangy", 94, of 415 Wilson Creek Road, Iva, SC passed away on Monday, April 4th, 2016 at Ellenburg Nursing Center. She was born on August 16th, 1921to the late Thomas J. and Jessie Hall Manning in Iva, SC. Mrs. Hall was a Member of First Baptist Church of Iva for over 50 years and was widowed by her husband of 56 years, Arthur P. Hall in 1995. She was a member of the WMU, Morning Prayer Group, and Adult COED Sunday School Class at her church. Mrs. Hall and her husband Arthur often chaperoned for youth group trips. Mrs. Hall enjoyed gardening, cooking, and crappie fishing. She loved her church and was a very faithful member. Mrs. Hall is survived by four children: June Hall Goodwin, Douglas Hall and wife Sherry, Eugene Hall and wife Sue, and Ken Hall and wife Faye all of Iva, SC; six grandchildren: Tom Hall(Burluz), Keith Hall(Marie), Kim Black, Chandler Nelson(Keri), Jenifer Ginn(Derrick), and Teresa Harris(Scott); and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her brother: Ed Manning. A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Iva on Thursday, April 7th, 2016 at 1:00pm with the Rev. Jerry Gray and Dr. Paul Pinson officiating. Entombment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson will follow. The Hall family will receive friends from 11:00am - 12:30pm at the church prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to First Baptist Church of Iva Building Fund, P.O. Box 475, Iva, SC 29655.
