Lawrence Benton Pugh Jr., of Anderson, SC, peacefully passed away on February 18, 2026, at the age of 82 due to multiple health complications.

Born in Chester, SC, to Lawrence B. Sr. and Lucille Pugh, "Junior" Pugh found his family moving to Anderson as a child. Junior was an Anderson resident for many decades, working tirelessly in the area's bustling textile manufacturing sector. A devoted husband to his wife Loretta, father to his daughter Rhonda, a loving brother and doting grandfather, he loved and was greatly loved by family, especially the little ones who knew he'd spoil them some. As an avid tech guy, Junior was rarely seen at a family gathering without a camera or camcorder attached to his hands. Multiple computers made their way through his house over the years as well. He was also a collector of music, especially early rock n' roll. That dedication to his hobbies leaves us all with wonderful memories to physically share in a digital age.

Lawrence is survived by his wife Loretta (nee Duncan), daughter Rhonda (Doug) Hanks, and his two grandsons, Cody Hanks and Christopher Hanks.

He is preceded in death by his father Lawrence B. Pugh Sr, mother Lucille Royster, sister Kathy Earl, and brother Keith Royster.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Eddie Duncan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the National Kidney Foundation is instead encouraged.
