Mr. Richardson served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anderson where he was a member of the Baraca Class. He was also a member of the Lions Club and Hiram Lodge 68 of the Masonic Lodge.Surviving are his wife of sixty-eight years, Ruby Rouda Richardson; son, Larry F. Richardson, Jr., and wife, Christine E. Richardson; grandson, L.F. 'Rick' Richardson, III, all of Anderson; grandson, Mark R. Richardson and wife, Christina C. Richardson; and three great granddaughters all of Columbia.In addition to his parents, three brothers predeceased him: William, David, and Jolly Poole Richardson; and his sister, Elizabeth Richardson Singleton.A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Old Silver Brook Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Dr. James R. Thomason and the Reverend Dr. Lawrence Webb. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.The family is at the home of his son, 1307 Wendover Way, Anderson.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baraca Class of the First Baptist Church of Anderson, 307 South Manning Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
