LAWRENCE H. SCOGGINS, JR. July 9, 1944 - September 26, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Lawrence Harmon Scoggins, Jr., age 68, of 216 Due West Road, Honea Path, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Lawrence Harmon Scoggins, Sr. and the late Hazel Louise Smith Scoggins Allen. He graduated from Boys High and Limestone College. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Lawrence was retired from The Ryobi Plant, formerly The Singer Plant with over 35 years of service. He was an avid reader and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving spouse, Rebecca "Darlene" Cleveland Scoggins of the home; a sister, Margaret King of Anderson; a step brother, Larry A Allen, of Flintville, TN; a step-sister, Sandra L. Holden of Anderson; and two special nephews, Michael King and Marty King and his wife Anna. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Ray Scoggins and a step-father, Isom Andrew Allen. The Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:00 am at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Pastor Dale Duckett officiating.
