Len Carroll Reed, age 71, and husband of Diane Cleveland Reed, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021, at AnMed Health Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1949 in Anderson, SC and was the son of the late Bennie Carroll Reed and Josephine Brown Reed. Len had worked since he was a teenager doing auto body repair and was the owner of Reed Body Shop for 25 years. He enjoyed buying, selling, and restoring cars and attending car shows. Len was a long-time member of Pleasant View Baptist Church where he served in many areas including the RA's. In addition to his devoted wife, Diane, he is survived by his sons, Jeremy Reed (Amanda) of Westminster, SC; daughter, Tracey Reed of Blacksburg, SC; sisters, Joey Allen and Peggy Allen (Joe) both of Anderson, SC; mother-in-law, Edna Dunn Cleveland; and grandchildren, Haden and Savanna Reed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Mark Reed. Mr. Reed will lie in state at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 2:00-5:00 pm and family and friends may pay their respects and sign the guest register. A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 2:30 pm at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Dr. Glenn Taylor and Mr. David Strickland officiating. Social distancing will be observed and masks required.
