LEO WATKINS May 24, 1932 - November 21, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Walter Leo Watkins, formerly of Hix Road, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Wilton Eugene Watkins and the late Bertha Bowen Watkins. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School. After 24 years of service, he retired from Ryobi, formerly known as the Singer Plant. He was an early member of Zion Fire Department. He was avid in wood working and was a member of Woodmen of the World. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Robert Watkins and his wife Diane and Ronald Watkins and his wife Connie, all of Anderson; and one granddaughter, Lauren Watkins of St. Augustine, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Anne Martin Watkins. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the funeral home, with Reverends Evan Hill and Brian Crowther officiating.
