LEOLA "LEE" VAUGHN November 23, 1916 - February 13, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Leola "Lee" Whitfield Vaughn, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at National Health Care of Lexington. Born November, 23, 1916, the oldest of 14 children, she was predeceased in death by her husband L. C. Vaughn, her father and mother Haskel K. Whitfield and Mary Etta Mize Whitfield; brothers, Oscar and Joe Whitfield; and sisters, Ruzzelle Brock and Eunice Webb. For several years she owned and operated Merle Norman Studios in Lincolnton North Carolina and Timmonsville, South Carolina. In her 80's she was a member of Tri City Leisure Center, where she participated in the senior activities. She was also an honorary member of the Red Hatters and enjoyed attending meetings and conventions. Active into her 90's until a fall caused an injury and left her in a wheelchair for the remainder of her life. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn Walker (Joe) of Lexingotn; three grandchildren, Dina Burkett (Terry), Natalie Schuckman (Doug) and Lance Myers (Jamie); six great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Burkett, Austin, Cody and Tyler Schuckman, Riley and Hayden Myers, all of Lexington, SC. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, February 15, 2013, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. The Graveside Service will follow at 3:30 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Bill Rigsby officiating.
