Leon Standridge, 69, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born July 7, 1950, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Jake Cromer Standridge and the late Lucille Gibby Standridge. Leon was self-employed as a carpenter and answered his calling to spread the Gospel as an evangelist. He attended Belmont Church of God of Prophecy. He is survived by his wife Jennie Standridge; daughters, Lisa Standridge (John Tuttle) and Julie Canupp (Larry); grandchildren, Justin Canupp (Carli) and Ashley Maynard; great grandchildren, Bayleigh, Leeann, and Levi Canupp; and a brother, Fred Standridge (Elmira). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Alma Jean Sutherland and brothers, Edward, Doyle, and David Standridge. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 11:00 am at the McDougald Funeral Home Courtyard. Reverend Alan Rhodes of Belmont Church of God of Prophecy will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
