Leonard J. "Lenny" Coffey, 70, of Anderson, SC passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House. Born October 18, 1947, in Lackawanna, NY, he was a son of the late, William Coffey and the late Arline LeVere Coffey. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard "Dickie" Coffey. Lenny had worked for the Erie County Fairgrounds and moved to Anderson in 1992 to manage the Anderson County Fair. He retired in 2011 from the Anderson Civic Center. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia Heimburg Coffey; daughter, Sara J. Coffey; brother, David Coffey and sister, Nancy (Jon) Cooper. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service with military honors will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday in the chapel. Memorials may be made to Anderson Cancer Association, 215 E. Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
