LEONARD JAMES LACOBIE August 30, 1938 - January 9, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Leonard James Lacobie, age 74, of Anderson, passed away at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Born in Groves, TX, he was the son of the late Wilson Joseph Lacobie and the late Hilda Boudreaux Lacobie. He was a 1957 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. Leonard proudly served his country in the United States Navy, serving active duty for five years with Operation Deep Freeze. He retired from textiles after several years of service. He is survived by his children, Daniel James Lacobie of Anderson, SC and Tracy Jay Lacobie of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Carl Gene Lacobie of Orlanda, FL; and grandchildren, Betty Jean Zugg and Dalton James Lacobie. The Graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 1:00 pm with Reverend Jonathan McGary officiating. Military Honors to be provided by Campbell Patriots Post 184. The family will be at the home of his son, Daniel, 2022 Old Spring Drive, Anderson, SC 29621 and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 6 pm until 8pm In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
