Lesley Michelle Ragsdale Childers, age 49, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Rainey Hospice House. Born July 28, 1972, in Jacksonville, NC, she is the daughter of Edith Jeannie Garner Gleason and the late John Quincy Ragsdale, Jr. She was an avid fisher, competing in men's and women's bass tournaments. Along with fishing, she also enjoyed cooking, anything outdoors, and most importantly spending time with her treasured family and her grand dogs. She is survived by her children, Dustin Hudgens (Hannah) and Chelsea Hudgens (Leevi), both of Townville, SC; mother, Jeannie Gleason of Anderson, SC; sister, Denna Ragsdale Crawford of Anderson, SC; nephews, Drake Crawford (Lauren), and their children, Rylee, Emily Kate, and Emerson of Piedmont, SC, Drew Crawford of Anderson, SC; niece, Karlee Crawford of Anderson, SC; and stepfather, Gary Gleason of Anderson, SC. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John Quincy Ragsdale, Sr., and Elizabeth Ragsdale; and maternal grandparents, Mary Garner and Richard C. Garner. The family will receive friends Friday, October 29, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow visitation in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. The family will be at their respective homes.
