McGINNISSEPTEMBER 6, 1928 - April 16, 2011ANDERSON, SC ' Lester Asbury McGinnis, age 82, of 118 B Candi Drive, passed away on Saturday at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC, he was the only child of Lester Matthew Coleman McGinnis and Jane Alexander McGinnis. Mr. McGinnis retired from the Milliken Finishing Plant and was a charter member of Asbury Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Frances Christine Fisher McGinnis, of the home; and twelve children: Patsy Strickland, Charles Dooley, Mickey McGinnis, Marlene Erwin, Mike Dooley, Kathy Burton, Ronnie McGinnis, Janice Stevenson, William Dooley, Charlene Craft, Tina Burdette, and Kim Burdette; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Monday, April 18, 2011, at Asbury Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Delennon Stowe and the Reverend Lloyd Robison. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family is at the home of Kathy Burton, 107 Calhoun Avenue, Pendleton, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6pm until 8pm on Sunday.
