Levis Clayton Whitfield, age 79, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at NHC of Anderson. Born in Anderson County on September 28, 1936, he was the son of the late L.T. Whitfield and the late Johnnie Bebe Whitfield. He retired from LaFrance Industries after many years of service. He is survived by his children, Larry Whitfield and his wife Gloria, of Anderson, SC, and Wanda Comer and her husband Greg, of Nashville, TN; a brother, Sammy Whitfield, of Townville, SC; and a sister, Frances Griffith, of Anderson, SC; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at 11:00 am with Reverend Tom Haren officiating.
