Obituary

Lewis Wilson Brady, age 84, of Anderson, SC went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, November 24, 2017. Born July 11, 1933, in Elberton, GA, Lewis was the eldest son of the late Benjamin Bryant Brady and the late Olivia Partain Brady. For 64 years he was the loving and devoted husband of Erah Fields Brady, until her death on August 8, 2017. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Lewis Wilson Brady, Jr. Lewis was a graduate of Bowman High School. He was a Mason and proudly served his country as a member of the Army National Guard, having reached the rank of master sergeant. He was a retired engineer from Owens Corning Fiberglas and founded Res-O-Glass, where he designed and manufactured fiberglass kayaks, fishing boats and dune buggy bodies. He enjoyed coaching little league, boating, completing the "next project" around the home, and spending time with his family. His greatest desire, as evidenced by ministering to Royal Ambassadors, and serving as a deacon at Flat Rock Baptist Church and Middleton Road Baptist Church, was to see children come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his daughters, Judy (John) Griggs of Williamston, Connie (Rick) Gray of Iva, Carol (Delma) Sentell of Greer; son, Ray (Becky) Brady of Williamston; brothers, Jimmy (Sylvia) Brady of Blairsville, GA, Jody (Charlotte) Brady and Larry (Patricia) Brady all of Elberton, GA. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Jason Metz, Bootsie Griggs, Josh Gray, Amy Gray Russell, Chad Wentzky, Andrew Sentell, Meredith Sentell Glynn, Kate Brady; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. A service honoring his life will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 27, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Jerry Gray officiating. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service. Memorials may be made to Connie Maxwell Children's Home, 810 Maxwell Ave, Greenwood, SC 29646.
