LEXIE WATERS September 10, 1909 - November 5, 2005ANDERSON, SCMrs. Lexie Crawford Waters, age 96, formerly of 38 Lewis Street, Anderson, SC and wife of the late John Manning Waters, died Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Oakmont- West Nursing Home in Greenville, SC.Born in Hartwell, GA on September 10, 1909, she was a daughter of the late Andy James Crawford and Duty Cleveland Crawford. She was a member of Whitefield Baptist Church, the Emma Hiott Sunday School class and a former member of the Joy Club. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a son, John Waters of Anderson, SC; daughters, Phyllis Hodges and her husband, Don and Nancy Jordan and her husband, Bill all of Anderson, SC; a brother, Tommy Crawford of Greer, SC; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, B. C., Clarence, Horace, Spurgeon and James Crawford and six sisters, Lillie Dyer, Dollie Waters, Ruby Waters, Grace Crawford, Eunice Whitfield and Hazel Crawford.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 1:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Ronald Fousek and the Reverend Jimmy Smith.
