Payne, age 86, of Anderson, SC, wife of the late Joe Payne, departed this life into the presence of the Lord on Monday, November 06, 2006. Born in Franklin County, GA on April 21, 1920, Mrs. Payne was the daughter of the late Jack Payne and Hattie Moon Payne. She was a retired seamstress. She was a very active charter member of Homeland Park Baptist Church where she served as church pianist, former Toddler's Sunday School teacher and church hostess for many years. Survivors include her daughters, Jo Ann Dickson of Anderson and Sue Stumm and her husband, Dick of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Chris Dickson of Aiken, SC, Jay Dickson and Joe Dickson, both of Anderson, SC and Jennifer Stumm of Amsterdam Holland. Seven great-grandchildren also survive.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends U. C. Neill and Larry Cox.
