Lillian Altman Anderson, SC Lillian Blakely Altman, age 92, of 912 Pine Cone Trail, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Lanett, AL she was the daughter of the late Edward Blakely and Merle Wills Blakely. Lillian attended Auburn University. She was very active in her community, having volunteered with Meals on Wheels - Anderson and a founder of the Carousel Club. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Anderson and of the Presbyterian Women. She is survived by a son, Robert Altman Jr., and his wife Sandra; two granddaughters, Amy Marroni and her husband Gabe and Kim Altman; sister, Edna Elkins, Pasadena, CA; and nieces, Suzanne Elkins, Philadelphia, PA and Jean Marie Stewart and her husband Bill, of Glendale, CA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 63 years until his death in 2006, Robert L. Altman, Sr. The family would like to thank the staff of Summit Place for the care given to Mrs. Altman during her time there and especially to her dedicated caregivers, Eva, Chestine, Wynona, Ruth, Ethelene, and Sharon. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Dennis Tedder officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
