LILLIAN TAYLOR BURNETTE November 25, 1917 - May 16, 2012 Mrs. Lillian Taylor Burnette, age 94, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the Ellenburg Nursing Center. Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late William Mayfield Taylor and the late Bunie McCoy Taylor. She was married to the late James Paul Burnette for 68 years. Mrs. Burnette was an Executive Housekeeper with Holiday Inns of North America, and with Howard Johnson Motor Lodges. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 sons, Tommy D. Burnette of Easley, Gary M. Burnette (Margaret) and Larry R. Burnette, both of Anderson. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, she was predeceased by 2 brothers, Raymond Taylor and Bill Taylor, and a sister, Hazel Cox. A service celebrating the life of Lillian Burnette will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 12 Noon at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Silvey officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be in their respective homes, and will receive friends on Saturday from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
