HANKS April 7, 1925 - January 14, 2007ABBEVILLE, SCMrs. Lillian O'Connor Hanks, age 81, of 400 Byrnes Avenue, wife of the late Clarence Rudolph Hanks, Sr., died Sunday, January 14, 2007 at the Abbeville Area Medical Center in Abbeville, SC.Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 7, 1925, Mrs. Hanks was a daughter of the late Jeremiah Jerome O'Connor and Lillian Sanford O'Connor. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abbeville.Survivors include five daughters, Clarene Turner of Abbeville, Maureen Newton of Blythewood, SC, Velvet Robinson of Anderson, Pamela Hanks of Abbeville and Karen Hanks of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Anna O'Connor of Massachusetts and Mary Gilman of Virginia Beach, VA. Nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Clarence R. Hanks, Jr., and a grandson, David Everette Burdette. The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abbeville, officiated by Father Allam Marreddy. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Abbeville, SC.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
