OSTEENMARCH 26, 1921 - July 22, 2007 ANDERSON, SC Mrs. Lillian Chapman Osteen, age 86 and wife of the late Marion Vincint Osteen passed away on July 22, 2007 at the Hospice House. Mrs. Osteen was born on Easter Day, March 26, 1921 in the Welcome Community of Anderson County and was a daughter of the late William Ennis Chapman & Lillie Esther Garrison Chapman. Lillian was educated in the public school system in Pendleton and was a graduate of Anderson College. Following attending Clemson College, she had been employed by both Walgreens and Southern Bell. Mrs. Osteen is survived by her children: daughter, the Reverend Lillie Ann Osteen Lindsey and her husband, Miles K. Lindsey of McAlester, Oklahoma; sons: Marion Chapman Osteen of Gainesville, Florida, Richard Carroll Osteen of Perry, Georgia, and Wm. Michael Osteen and his wife, Bette B. Osteen of Chelmsford, Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Zachary A.B. Osteen and Stacia V.C.B. Osteen, also survive. Mrs. Osteen was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to Mrs. Osteen's parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Annie Reid Chapman Smith and brothers, Colonel Max C. Chapman, William Ennis Chapman, Jr., and Boyce Suddeth Chapman. The Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Forest Lawn Memorial Park with William R. West, Jr. officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Elbert Horton, Eric Loudermilk MD, Gary McLain, Zachary Osteen, Mark Rowland, and Harris Shiflett.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, July 23, 2007. In lieu of floral contributions, memorials may be made to the church or charity of one's choice. THE McDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
