LILY HINTON TABOR July 5, 1915 - January 15, 2013 Lily Hinton Tabor, age 97, of 201 Edgebrook Drive, Garden House, entered peacefully into eternal rest on the evening of Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Olive Hill, KY, raised in Knightstown, IN, she was the daughter of the late James Harley Hinton and the late Martha Adams Hinton. For 67 years Lily was the loving and devoted wife of the late Russell Woodrow Tabor until his death in 2001. In the early years of her marriage, Mrs. Tabor was a homemaker, raising her children with the support of her husband, Russell. As her children became adults and following a family move to California, Mrs. Tabor worked in various roles with Hughes Aircraft. She worked in the circuit board assembly department, and later became supervisor of that production department. Mrs. Tabor retired after 20 years of service to Hughes Aircraft. She was a member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Santa Monica, California. Those left to carry on the legacy of Lilly Tabor include her 2 sons: Charles "Bud" Tabor and his wife, Jan, of Anderson; and Douglas Lee Tabor of Big Bear Lake, CA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Russell, she was preceded in death by a son, William Russell Tabor, brothers Herman and Herbert Hinton, and a sister, Inez Heim. The Tabor Family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, January 17, 2013, from 6 PM until 8 PM. A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Tabor will be held on a later date and time at Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica, CA.
