Betty Linda Crowe Clinkscales, age 81, of Anderson, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2024.

Born February 1, 1943, in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late J.B. Crowe and Selma McCoy Crowe. She was married for 60 wonderful years to John P. Clinkscales, Sr. until his death in 2021.

Linda was an IT Manager for Belton Industries and retired after 48 years of faithful service to the company. She loved shopping and traveling, especially to Wild Dunes at Isle of Palms. But what she loved most of all was her family, children, and grandchildren, and received the most joy out of caring for them all. She was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, John P. Clinkscales, Jr. (Angie) and Tony L. Clinkscales (Andria Nieves) both of Anderson; daughter, Tonja Strickland (Tim) of Anderson; grandchildren, Blake, Dylan, and Caleb Clinkscales all of Anderson, Olivia Kennelly (Chris) of Easley, and Grace Plowden (Davis) of Belton; and great grandchildren, Anthony, Jonathan, Jenson, Natalie, and one on the way baby boy Charlie.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 10:00-10:45 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 11:30 am at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Rev. Ed Hunsinger officiating.
