Linda S. Edmunds "Mimi" Linda S. Edmunds "Mimi", age 70, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Greer, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Belton Scott and the late Velma Bentley Scott. She retired from BASF after many years of service. Linda was a member of Abner Creek Baptist Church in Greer, SC. She is survived by her loving husband, Fred C. Edmunds, Jr; four sons, Mark Edmunds (Sherry), of Holly Springs, NC, Bentley Scott Powers (Mary), of Starr, SC, Frankie Edmunds, of Belton, SC and Mark V. Powers (Lisa), of Anderson, SC; a brother, Henry Melvin Scott, of Anderson; seven grandchildren, two of which were raised by her, Amanda Powers Poole and Travis Powers, and Chad Edmunds, Justin Powers, Amanda Edmunds, Lynn Brock, and Becky Hanks; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Scott. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Barry Davis officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the residence, 514 Laurel Creek, Anderson, SC 29621, and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
