Linda Huston Fields, age 63, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrels Inlet.

Born June 1, 1960, in Newburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late James Gillespie Huston and Gilda Jargstorff Huston.

Linda loved being a homemaker and cooking for everything and everyone. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and believed that once a friend always a friend. She was the president of For The Hounds for 25 years. She knew every dog and owner by name and had placed hundreds of dogs into loving homes over the years. She was a member of Clemson United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, R. Steven Fields; daughters, Haley Smith (Anthony) of Anderson, SC, and Elizabeth Brooke Fields (Chad Chrisoph) of Flint, MI; brother, John Huston (Jill) of Seneca, SC; grandchildren, Adam Smith, Owen Smith, and Emily Smith all of Anderson, SC; nephew, Chase Huston of Chicago, IL; and niece, Chelsea Huston of Piedmont, SC.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
