Linda Pelfrey Garland, age 72, of Pendleton, SC, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Rainey Hospice House. Born May 11, 1949, in Oconee County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Homer Pelfrey and Gladys Goss Metts. Linda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to cook for all of her family. She was a faithful member of LaFrance Church of God. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry Garland; son, Joe Garland (Connie); daughter, Rhonda Stewart (Bobby); brothers, Roger and Billy; sister, Shirley and 4 stepsisters. She is also survived by grandchildren, Amber & Cody, Kayla & Terry, Rebekah & Joey, Jonathan & Katherine, Zachary and Nicholas; and great grandchildren, Chloe, Kylie, Eli, Maddison, Grady, Colton, Aracela, Alvin and Gunner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Lee Mitchell and stepfather, Ottis Metts. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, December 3, 2021 at LaFrance Church of God. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at the church with Rev. Roger Allison and Rev. Delbert McCall officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson.
