Linda Leone Steerman Melton, age 68, of Pendleton, SC passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House. Born August 11, 1948 in Clarksburg, WV; she was a daughter to the late Warren G. Steerman and the late Elsie Smith Steerman. Linda was a graduate of Harrington High School class of 1967 and was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Melton; brothers, Gerry Steerman (Connie) and Terry Steerman (Terri) all of Harrington, DE; sister, Tammy Shahan (Donnie) of Midway, TN; 8 nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her infant brother and sister. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, July 3, 2017 at Oakwood Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Jones officiating. Burial will be in Six and Twenty Baptist Church Cemetery, Pendleton, SC The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 2:00 pm until service time at the church.
