Linda Johnson Owens, age 69, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Kingsport, TN, she was the daughter of the late Dock Johnson and the late Erma Williams Johnson. She worked with Ryobi and Orian Rugs. Linda was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and had most recently attended Gethsemane Baptist Temple. She is survived by her children, Michael Owens and his wife Lisa, and Lisa Hinton and her husband Jeff; brothers, Fred, Richard, and Allen Johnson; a sister, Peggy McCrory; and five grandchildren, Brittany Free, Charity Hinton, Katlyn, Emily, and Juliann Owens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Owens; and brothers, Charles, Jerry, Howard, and Jimmy Johnson. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, June 13, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sam Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
