LINDA R. PATTERSON August 27, 1944 - April 18, 2013 Linda Gail Rumsey Patterson, age 68, of 2905 Plainview Road, died at Rainey Hospice House on Thursday, April 18, 2013. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late James Willis Rumsey and the late Emma Nell Bailey Rumsey. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late David E. Patterson until his death in 2006. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple and also a long time member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church. All who knew Gail knew of her devotion to her family. Survivors include 2 sons, David Michael Patterson and his wife, Angela, of Anderson; James R. Patterson and his wife, Kathy, of Anderson; and a daughter, Julie Lynn Dowis of Anderson. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Gail was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Patterson, and 2 brothers, James Willis Rumsey, Jr., and Bobby Joe Rumsey. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013, at 1 PM at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Kirt Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of Bobby and Kathy Patterson, 403 Regency Circle, Anderson, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 6 PM until 8 PM.
