Pierce, age 61,wife of Joe Pierce, of 101 Mayci Way, Anderson, SC, died Friday, December 8, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on April 4, 1945, Mrs. Pierce was a daughter of the late James D. Young and Lois H. Brown Young. She formerly worked at Jim McDonnell Chevrolet and Rock Smith Chevrolet in Elberton. Mrs. Pierce was a member of the Broadway Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, Joe Pierce of the home; step-sons, Steven Pierce of Anderson, SC, Ronald Pierce of Texas, Randall Pierce of Florida, Scott Pierce and Bobby Pierce both of Anderson, SC and a brother, Kenneth R. Young of Starr, SC.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Ann Sutherland and brothers, Marshall J. Young and Jimmy Ray Young. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Reverends Early Tucker and Curtis Bundy.
