Our beautiful, loving, caring, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all she met, Mrs. Linda Locke Poole, age 65, of Fort Mill, SC, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 after a battle with cancer. She was born in Anderson, SC on March 24, 1942. She devoted all she had to her family and touched the lives of many others. Even through all of her struggles, her outlook on life was always positive. Survivors include her husband, Melvin Jerome Poole; son, Randall Owen Poole of Charlotte, NC, his wife, Juel Harry Poole and their children, Courtney Danielle Poole and Jonathan Randall Poole; son, Reed Russell Poole of Charlotte, NC, his wife, Kimberly Bostic Poole and their daughter, Hannah Leigh Poole; son, Ross Lee Poole of Charlotte, NC, his wife, Jennifer Givens Poole and their sons, Brandon Ross Poole and Zachary Blake Poole; sister, Carolyn Locke Chastain of Anderson; sister, Sandra Locke Vickery and her husband, Bill Vickery of Anderson and a nephew Joshua Thomas Vickery. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Kristin Poole Lipscomb.In addition to her parents, O. C. Locke and Carrie Burton Locke, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Jerome Poole. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Dr. Mark Harris of the First Baptist Church of Charlotte and Mr. Raymond Butch Pruitt. Pallbearers include Kenneth Locke, Denny Burton, Michael Slice, Larry Locke, Glenn Locke, Morris Locke, James Smith and Douglas Locke.
