Linda Hogg Vickery, age 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Rainey Hospice House. Born December 16, 1948, in the Cheddar Community of Belton, she was a daughter of the late Harold Hampton Hogg and Dora Mae Neely Hogg. She was married to Preston Boyce Vickery until his death in 2015. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Lester Leon Hogg, J.B. Hogg, Willis Harland Hogg, and Kenneth Ray Hogg; and sister, Emma Olivia Hogg Johnson. Linda began her career in the Anderson County Voter Registration Office and retired from the Anderson County Veterans Affairs Office. She was humble, kind, and a true servant of the Lord. She was a member of South Pointe Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Preston Brian Vickery (Stephanie); brothers, Michael Lee Hogg, John William Hogg and Harold Haynie Hogg; grandchildren, Hannah Maree Vickery and Preston Taylor Vickery; and many special nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 10:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor David Neal officiating. The family will speak with guests immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
