Linda Carol Patterson White, age 82, of Iva, SC, loving wife to the late Carl White until his death in 2008, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023. Born August 25, 1940, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Robert Patterson and Hazel Patterson. Linda retired from Jackson Mills and was a devoted member of Rocky River Baptist Church. She loved canning vegetables, farming, her goats, and driving all the neighborhood kids to church. She was known for her secret stew recipe and was an avid South Carolina Gamecocks Fan. She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Dickerson (T.C.), Martha James, Patricia Buchanan, Marie Taylor (Bernell), and Angie Abbott; brother, Robert Henry Patterson (Carolyn); and eleven grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Doug Patterson; and sister, Elsie Patterson Brown. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Rocky River Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Jerry Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes.
