Linda Gail Hughes Wicker, age 82, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born July 30, 1942, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Paul Enoch Hughes and Maude Ophelia Maroney Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Wicker; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Linda was a dietary chef at NHC Healthcare Anderson where she enjoyed ministering to her patients. She retired after 42 years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and known for her fantastic biscuits. He was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church where she formerly served in the Helping Hands ministry. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sons, Ernest Wicker, Jr. (Terri) and James B. Wicker; daughters, Linda Ann Glazener (Dean) and Angela I. Chandler (Bruce); grandchildren, Gary Glazener, Kayla Glazener, F'Lyce Woodruff, Dominic Wicker, and Dr. C.J. Wicker Bolding; and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 12:30-1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Scott Lollis and Dr. Brent Lollis officiating. Burial will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery.
