Lizzie Mae Ashworth Jackson, age 70, of 1011 McEnroe Circle, Piedmont, passed away at her residence on Monday, October 2, 2017, with her family by her side. Born on April 8, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Walter Ashworth and the late Nora Lee Willis Ashworth. She was the wife of the late Dock Marion Jackson, Jr. until his death in 1987. Mrs. Jackson was a graduate of Crescent High School, and worked for over thirty years with JP Stevens Appleton and Clemson plants. Survivors include three sons, Phillip Andrew Jackson and his wife, Ruth Naomi of Williamston, Marion Gregory Jackson and partner, Russell Banister of Greer, and Jeffrey Dean Jackson of Piedmont; a brother, Edward Ashworth of Anderson; a sister, Ann Hendrix of Hartwell, GA; a sister-in-law, Betty Ann Moats of Anderson; two grandchildren, Phillip Andrew Jackson, Jr. and Kevin Avery Jackson. A Graveside Service to celebrate the life of Lizzie Mae Jackson will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. at New Silver Brook Cemetery, Anderson, with the Reverend Dwight Greene officiating.
