Lloyd William Phillips, age 67, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at his residence. Born in Johnson City, TN, on September 4, 1948, he was one of seven children of the late William Garney Phillips. Lloyd worked at Michelin for more than 26 years where he retired. He was a simple man and was affectionately known as "Papaw" by his grandchildren. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved Elvis and, who he called the greatest singer on the planet, George Jones. Lloyd was a member of First Christian Church of Anderson. He is survived by five children, Johnathan Lloyd Phillips, Graham Lee Phillips, Shawn Paul Phillips, Kristine Phillips Giffin, and Sharon Phillips Kelly; and ten grandchildren.
