BROWN August 2, 1925 - October 22, 2006ANDERSON, SCMrs. Lois Mask Brown, age 81, of Anderson, SC, wife of the late Hulette 'Hap' M. Brown, died Sunday, October 22, 2006, at Hospice of The Upstate in Anderson, SC.Born in Griffin, GA, on August 2, 1925, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Lillie Belle Young Mask Jackson. She grew up in Newnan, GA, and was formerly of Douglasville, GA, but lived most of her life in Marietta, GA, where she and Hap raised their family. She spent many years in retail sales working most of those years at Casual Town at Cobb Center in Smyrna, GA. She moved to Anderson six years ago, and was a member the First Presbyterian Church of Anderson, SC, and formerly of Bright Star UMC in Douglasville and St. Phillip UMC in Marietta, GA. She was active in many church and community organizations. She enjoyed volunteering and made friends wherever she went. Survivors include a son, Jimmy Brown and wife, Judy of Acworth, GA; daughters, Joan Rushing and husband Tom, of Snellville, GA, and Anita May and husband, Wade of Anderson, SC; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Grandsons are Cary Brown and wife Thandi and their two sons of Tampa, FL; Clay Brown and wife Stacey and their two sons of Marietta, GA; and granddaughters are Michelle Burrell and husband Trey and their daughter and son of Bethlehem, GA, and Erin May and Hayden May of Anderson, SC. She also leaves five sisters and two brothers by marriage and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson Craig Brown. The Funeral Service will be held in Anderson, SC, Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church officiated by Dr. Dennis Tedder. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home Tuesday, October 24, 2006, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pmOn Thursday, October 26, 2006, a Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon, in the Chapel of the Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home in Marietta, Ga, with Rev. Tim Constien officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. A visitation will also be held at the Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home in Marietta, GA, on Thursday, October 26, 2006, from 10:30 am until the funeral hour.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
