ELBERTON, GA'Mrs. Lois Vivian Womack Carpenter, age 80, wife of James F. Carpenter of 1151 Athens Highway, Elberton, GA died Saturday, August 13, 2005 at her residence.Born on March 4, 1925 in Harnett County, NC, Mrs. Carpenter was a daughter of the late William Rabun Womack and the late Nellie Inez Stephenson Womack Eason. She was a graduate of Kings Business College and was a retired bookkeeper. She was also a member of the Lupus Support Group. She was a member of Union Baptist Church where she was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School class, a former Sunday School teacher, and choir member.Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her husband, James F. Carpenter of the home; a son, James David Carpenter of Newnan, GA; three daughters, Caroline Carpenter of Trinity, NC, Betty Webb of Dewy Rose, GA, and Lisa Baggett of Excel, AL; one brother, William Womack of Titusville, FL; two sisters, Mary Ormsby and Peggy Cosby both of Redsprings, NC; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carpenter was preceded in death by one brother, Shelton Womack.
