LOIS POWELL July 7, 1924 - July 11, 2006 ANDERSON, SCMrs. Lois Roberta Powell, age 82, of 230 Foster Street, wife of the late Roy Lee Porter, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at NHC HealthCare of Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on July 7, 1924, Mrs. Powell was a daughter of the late W. E. Powell and Mellie Lacy Powell. She was employed at Riverside Mills for many years and retired from Wometco Vending Company. She was a member of West Anderson Church of God.Survivors include sons, LeRoy Porter and Ronnie Porter, both of Anderson, SC; a daughter, Alice Walter of Watkinsville, GA; brothers, Marvin Powell of Simpsonville, Sc, Henry Powell and Kenneth Powell, both of Anderson, SC, Sherman Powell of Pensacola, FL and Tommy Powell, of Lincolnton, NC; sisters, Lucille Smith and Barbara Jean Giddon, both of Pensacola, FL; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Powell had many friends including a very special friend, Katrina Alexander.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Porter and two sisters, Ruby Jennings and Ann Powell.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends John Daniel and Mark Daniel.
