Davis passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Pendleton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Griffith and the late Lois Inez Owens Griffith. She retired from Anderson Memorial Hospital as a Ward Secretary. Mrs. Davis was a charter member of Bridge of Hope Community Church. Her greatest passion was preparing wonderful meals for large family gatherings. She is survived by her loving children; Donna Manly and husband, Richard of Anderson; Terriann Smith and husband, Brian of Lexington; and Bradley Davis and Jan Hammond of Morganton, NC, and her daughter, Emma Hammond; daughter - in-law Pam Davis of Starr, SC; nine grandchildren; Jason and Warren Manly, Chrissy Madden, Jessie Linker, Ben and James Smith, Carla Evans, Derrick and Brittany Davis, their mother Connie Davis; and nine great-grandchildren; and her special care giver, Cornelia Burton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Steve Davis and a brother Robert Griffith. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Kevin Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until 10:30 am before the service. The family will be at the home. The family would like to thank Dr. Katie Hanna and the staff of Hospice Home Care, for the special care shown to Mrs. Davis.
