Lois Wilson Wehrum, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 14, 2015. Born in Green Sea, SC on March 27, 1924, Lois was a daughter to the late Julian Franklin Wilson and the late Irene Bass Wilson. She was a graduate of Campbell College in Buies Creek, N.C. During her career in banking she was past president of the American Banking Association in Middlesex, NJ, and retired as a branch manager with Wachovia Bank. She had been active as a Girl Scout leader and had earned her pilot's license. She was an avid music lover having been a member of the Choral Arts Society, actively sung with many choirs and was a hand bell choir director. Lois was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church, Anderson, SC. She is survived by her devoted husband, Frederick C. "Fred" Wehrum; three daughters, Louise Carmichael, Judith Dawson and Madalyn Wehrum and their spouses; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. A sister-in-law, Wanda Wilson also survives. In addition to her parents Lois was predeceased by her brother Franklin Wilson. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Dennis Tedder and Reverend Caroline East Berardi officiating.
