Lois Welborn Anderson, SC Lois Rebecca Welborn, 88, died Sunday, March 29, 2015, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born on November 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Edward Truman and Lola Irby Welborn. She was a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church and she loved her church. She worked for many years as a telephone operator for Bell South and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. One of her favorite activities was working in her yard. She is survived by sisters, Ann Fisher and Edith Self, of Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Elizabeth Martin and Matilda Butler; and a brother, Charles Welborn. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service on Wednesday, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church, 1012 Concord Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
