LONNIE BORDERS September 2, 1942 - June 13, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Lonnie Martin Borders, age 70, husband of Annie Ruth Cobb Borders, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, he was the only child of the late L.M. Borders and the late Ella Hulme Borders. He retired as a mechanic at A-1 Auto Rental, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Donna Carman Blackwell and her husband Neil of Anderson, SC and Renea Borders Ledbetter and her husband Steve of Concord, NC; five grandchildren, Emily, Adam, Ashley, Eric, and Trevor; and two great grandchildren, Carson and Colby. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at The McDougald Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM in the chapel with Reverend Hayward Tomblin officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Donna, 315 Green Forest Drive, Anderson, SC.
