Lorine Gillespie Rice, age 87, of Greenville, SC passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Magnolia Place of Greenville. Born June 21, 1930 in Pendleton, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Benjamin Gillespie and the late Daisy Durham Gillespie. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Lorine is survived by her daughter, Marsha Gibson of Simpsonville, SC; sons, Steve Rice and wife, Beth of Simpsonville, SC and Bill Rice and wife, Tina of Maineville, OH; son-in-law, James Harris of Washington, NC; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband William Reid Rice, Jr.; daughter, Marilyn Harris; five brothers and three sisters. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Friday, September 15, 2017 Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Watson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
