Born in Guilford County, NC on April 19, 1916, Mrs. Apple was the daughter of the late John Henry Johnson and Bessie Andrews Johnson. After retiring, she was a very devoted caregiver for many families. She was a member of Johnson Baptist Church in Guilford County, North Carolina.Survivors include sons, Arthur Apple and his wife, Nora of Thomson GA and Cecil Apple of the home; a daughter, Betty Shore of Anderson, SC; sister-in-law Opal Johnson of Gibsonville, NC; eight grandchildren, Greg Shore and his wife, Bunny; Steve Shore and his wife, LuAnn; Scott Shore and his wife, Beth; Charles Apple and his wife, Sharon; Artie Apple and his wife, Karla; Caroline Apple; Millie Apperson; Edmund Apperson and his wife, Tiffany; thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son; two daughters, Etta Apple and Annette Fuller; four brothers; and a son-in-law, Gerald Shore.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel officiated by the Reverend Jack Ellenburg.
