OBITUARY MRS. LOU NELLE CAREYFebruary 24, 1924 - December 8, 2006ANDERSON, SCMrs. Lou Nelle Dunn Carey, age 82, of 415 Chauga Drive, wife of the late Eugene E. Carey Sr., died Friday, December 8, 2006 at the Hospice House.Born in Anderson, SC on February 24, 1924, Mrs. Carey was a daughter of the late William Frank Dunn Sr. and Luvie Mayfield Dunn. She was retired from J.C. Penney after many years of service as a Salesperson. She attended the Anderson First Assembly of God. Mrs. Carey was a 1941 graduate of Girls High.Survivors include her sons, Eugene 'Gene' Carey Jr. of Iva, SC and Terrell Neal Carey Sr. and his wife Robin of Belton, SC; daughters, Cheryl Carey Connor and her husband Keith of Anderson, Judi Carey Cantrell of Anderson and Tina Carey Allen and her husband Calvin of Charleston, SC; brother Boyce Dunn of Anderson; sisters, Kitty Porter of Anderson and Luraa Martin of St. Louis, MO. Seventeen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren also survive.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry M. Carey Sr. and a brother, William Frank 'Bill' Dunn Jr.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Reverend Danny Keen. Interment will follow at Old Silverbrook Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Monday, December 11, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.The family will be at the residence.Flowers accepted.
