Lou Ellen Alewine Parker formally of 28 Gilmer Dr., Anderson, SC, age 95, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the home of her son's residence in Clemson, SC. Lou Ellen was born March 20, 1920 in Antreville, SC to the late James Monroe Alewine and the late Mary Speer Alewine. She was predeceased by her husband Keith H. Parker, her parents and brother Rev. James R. Alewine She is survived by her son, William "Bill" Parker, Sr. and wife Daphne; a grandson, William H. Parker Jr. and wife Christa; great-granddaughters, Rebecca Parker and Sarah Parker; a niece, Mary Byers and husband Dr. Lloyd Byers; nephews, Rev. Tommy Alewine and wife JoAnn, Jimmy Alewine and wife Robbie and other great nephews and nieces. Most important in Lou's life was her Church, her family and friends. She was a retiree of Sears Roebuck where she was a Department Manager. She was an active member of Boulevard Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a member of her Sunday School Class and active in other areas of the church. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Boulevard Baptist Church with Dr. Johnny McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. also at Boulevard Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Boulevard Baptist Church, 700 Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621 and Hospice Care of South Carolina, 110 Dillon Dr., Spartanburg, SC, 29307.
