Ruth Louann Niles Morgan, age 92, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Anderson Area Medical Center. Born April 9, 1931 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Reno Austin Niles and Ruth Magdeline Clabaugh Niles. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Theodore Morgan and two brothers. She was a homemaker who lovingly cared for her family. Mrs. Morgan was also a lady of many talents and interests, having dabbled in real estate investment and entertained nursing home residents with a clown ministry. She enjoyed dancing and camping, but her love for her family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert Woodruff (Holly) of Waverly, GA, and David Woodruff (Beverly) of Anderson, SC; a daughter, Loretta A. Pominville of Anderson, SC; a sister, Sally; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 12:30 - 1:30 pm at Concord Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm following the visitation with Dr. Robert Woodruff and the Rev. Bill Parnell officiating. Burial will be held at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion, 1301 E. Greenville Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
