Louie H. Gray, age 77, of Iva, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 4, 2016. Born on October 12, 1939, in Iva, he was the son of the late Roy G. Gray and the late Viola Hanks Gray. He was retired after forty-five years of employment at Mohawk Industries in Calhoun Falls, where he was a maintenance technician. Mr. Gray was a devoted member of Rocky River Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. In his spare time, Louie enjoyed restoring antique and collector cars. Survivors include a sister, Vivian G. Price and her husband, Mike, of Abbeville; a niece, Stephanie Hershey; nephews, Phil Haynie, Tim Haynie, Willie Price and Mathew Witteborg; special friends, Terry and Julia Burton and Shannon Hall; also surviving are several great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a host of dedicated friends, who were so loved by him. In addition to his parents, Louie was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Reece P. Haynie. The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Louie H. Gray will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Rocky River Baptist Church, with Reverend Dr. Bobby Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky River Baptist Church Cemetery. The members of the Men's Sunday School Class at Rocky River, and Terry and Julia Burton will comprise the Honorary Escort. The family will be at the residence of Vivian and Mike Price, 200 Oak Knoll Road, Abbeville, and will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Rocky River Baptist Church.
